What are we looking for?
What makes a Womble Bond Dickinson trainee?
It matters to us that we have the right people working here, but actually, we’d be hard pressed to describe a ‘typical’ candidate. Our trainees come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of experience – and that’s really important to us. We look for people who have different backgrounds and interesting perspectives. Why? Because we know that this diversity of experience and views ultimately help us to reach new and better solutions.
Of course, we expect everyone to share our enthusiasm for the law and to demonstrate a passion for our business. The quality of our work is second to none, and is reflected in the strength of our client relationships: we always put ourselves in their shoes and ask the right questions so we can really understand and anticipate their needs. And that’s what we’re looking for in the trainees we take on: people who take the time to listen and who want to work for a firm where integrity and reliability matter - every bit as much as insight and legal expertise.
We measure four behaviours as part of our assessment and selection process: collaboration; client focus; creating value; and adaptability.
Collaboration
Client focus
Creating value
Adaptability
But we don’t expect you to come to us with all these skills perfectly honed. If you can show us you have the potential to develop the expertise and competencies we’re looking for, we want to hear from you.
As you progress through our recruitment process, you’ll have a chance to see for yourself what it’s like to work here, and whether we’re the right fit for you. This is just as important as whether we think you’re right fit for us!
